Founder of “Women and Earth”
I have always been in love with the Earth and I have always tried to walk on her with respect and caring attention. That isn’t always easy in our civilized world. I know we have fallen out of balance through our modern way of living. So it became my lifework to rediscover this balance in myself and world around me.
We urgently need a dissenting voice, a counterweight to balance what is and what is happening with humankind and with the Earth. How could that look? I too don’t have any thoroughgoing answers. But what I can offer are spaces where we can take time for ourselves and remember that this Earth belongs to everyone, where we can try out new paths together, spin thoughts and ideas, encourage and strengthen one another.
With this festival, I would like to join with you to dream new stories, to create an island, and to form networks. Let’s give ourselves a chance: we can only accomplish it together.
“Start by doing what is necessary; then do what is possible; and suddenly you are doing the impossible.”
Francis of Assisi
